You will be walking approximately 10-16 kilometres a day and often will be climbing up hill on uneven terrain. Depending on your own fitness level will determine how much and how long before the hike to begin your training. The more you prepare for the hike, with regular training, the easier it will be.
We suggest hilly outdoor walks between 3 - 5 times a week, of distances ranging from 4 kilometres and gradually working up to 16 kilometres. You may also choose to train indoors using a treadmill or stairmaster, utilizing the varying elevation levels they offer.
