Itinerary
Day 1: Sunday November 2, 2008 - 6 km
After an early morning bus departure from Tel Aviv, we arrive near Rosh Haniqra before mid-day. Following the Opening Ceremony of our first Sea-to-sea hike, we fill ceremonial jars of water by the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, and the hike begins. Packed lunches are provided en route. After lunch, we walk along the Sulam Tsur Bridge from Kibbutz Hanita to the Rainbow Cave. Bus transfer to our overnight accommodations. In the evening we have a wonderful Israeli-themed dinner with sing along and Israeli Folk Dancing. We will be joined by One Family victims of terrorism who will share their personal stories.

Day 2: November 3, 2008 - 16 km
Immediately following a delicious Israeli breakfast, we pack up, check out and load the bus. We start the hike where we left off yesterday. After a well-deserved lunch, we descend to the Kziv River Bed and visit the local springs. Our hike on Day 2 finishes with an ascent to a Crusader fortress. We drive to our new overnight accommodations for check-in. Dinner at the Pekiin Farod Kibbutz. We hope to offer an optional outing to Sefad this evening. Further details will be provided.

Day 3: Tuesday November 4, 2008 - 16 km
Another delicious Israeli breakfast is served before we depart by bus to the Elkush junction forest. We continue our hike, following the Kziv River bed and connect with the Neria River, climb Mount Meron and follow the "Cross Israel trail" to Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai's grave. Lunch is served en route. At the hike's end on Day 3, we transfer by bus back to our accommodations. Tonight's special event a fascinating visit to a Druze village to experience the Druze hospitality and culture, including a delicious dinner followed by music.

Day 4: Wednesday November 5, 2008 - 12 km
Breakfast at the Kibbutz. From Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai's grave we descend to the Meron River, then cross the Amud River canyon nature reserve to the upper Amud River. After lunch, we finish Day 4's hiking at the Akko - Tzfat road. Tonight you have the option of dinner at Farod Guesthouse, or an outing to the vibrant town of Rosh Pina for dinner (cost of dinner is not included).

Day 5: Thursday November 6, 2008 - 11 km
After breakfast and check out, we head back to the Akko-Tzfat road and descend to the Lower Amud River. We finish our trek at the Ginnosar Beach on the Kinneret, where we participate in a beautiful closing celebration including the Sea-to-Sea water transfer ceremony. We will celebrate our incredible accomplishment with a fabulous lunch, activities and swimming at the beach, and spectacular Closing Ceremonies. Buses depart for Tel Aviv in the late afternoon.
